The aims of ERTSA are:

• to ensure that road traffic safety has a public/community base.
• to minimize road traffic accidents through active contributions in the fields of campaigns, education, and information.
• to promote road traffic safety by providing small scaled projects nation wide

To this end ERTSA shall have the following tasks:

• People being aware of the fact that road traffic safety is a public affair, to make them actively participate and make ERTSA a community based association.

• encourage community safety actions that are initiated by the public and road users.
• create throughout the nation wide awareness of the consequences concerning traffic accidents.
